Ballygunner advance to Munster senior club semi final
Ballygunner have advanced to the Munster Senior club hurling semi finals after their three points win over Na Piarsaigh at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
A blow for Na Piarsaigh before the throw in with influential midfielder William O' Donoghue ruled out through injury.
The Waterford champions seeing off Shane O' Neill's side on a 0-18 to 0-15 scoreline.
In a tight first half it was the Waterford champions who led at the break 0-8 to 0-5.
Na Piarsaigh started the second half brightly and levelled the scores before the sides were tied 0-15 a piece in the closing stages.
Howver Ballygunner hit three scores without reply and the Limerick champions needed a goal which never came as Ballgunner advanced.
