Purse snatched from elderly woman outside popular Limerick market

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

A woman in her 80s was robbed in broad daylight last September 13 at the Milk Market in Limerick City.

The incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. The woman had returned to her car and was putting her shopping trolley away when a man opened her vehicle, stole her purse, and fled the scene. The suspect was last seen running towards High Street.

The suspect is described as approximately six feet tall and was wearing beige shorts, a turquoise t-shirt, and a cap.

Gardaí are urging anyone who was at the Milk Market around 12:30 p.m. last Saturday and may have seen the man or noticed any suspicious activity to come forward.
