Five Limerick companies have been awarded the Ireland’s Best Managed Companies (BMC) accolade at the 17th annual awards programme.

The recognition highlights the strong performance and strategy of indigenous businesses across the country.

A total of 115 businesses won the best managed status this year, representing 25 of the 32 counties.

The winning Limerick companies include: H&MV Engineering, Mowlam Healthcare, Roches Feeds Limerick, and Samco Agricultural Manufacturing, all of which requalified for the award.

Limerick company Kirby Group Engineering won the accolade for the first time this year.

The network of all winning companies has a combined turnover exceeding €22 billion and employs over 62,000 people nationwide.

The judging process evaluates the entire management team and business strategy, looking at areas like strategic planning, governance, financial performance, and innovation.

Brian Murphy, Lead Partner for the awards programme, congratulated all winners for demonstrating "unwavering resilience and commitment to excellence."
