A limited number of vouchers are available.

Limerick City and County Council, in partnership with Voice Ireland, has launched a new Cloth Nappy Incentive Scheme aimed at making reusable nappies more accessible to families facing financial barriers.

The pilot project seeks to promote waste prevention by helping parents avoid the substantial upfront cost of buying cloth nappies.

The scheme provides a limited number of eligible families with a €100 voucher to purchase a cloth nappy starter kit from partner retailers, Summer Sweets Baby and Nappy Rebels.

The voucher is intended to cover the cost of a starter kit, but can alternatively be used toward other reusable nappies sold on the retailers' websites.

This pilot is running for a limited time and will cease once all available vouchers have been distributed.

It is an initiative funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Limerick City and County Council, and other local authorities.

To be eligible for the scheme in Limerick, applicants must meet two criteria:
1.  Be a permanent resident in Limerick City or County.
2.  Be pregnant or have a child under 12 months of age living with them for whom the nappies will be used.
