The County Limerick community is set to work with Bat Rehabilitation Ireland

A Limerick community is coming together to create a batty experience this Hallowe’en. Jamie’s exotics are setting up the event, to take place behind the Banogue shop, located on the main Limerick to Cork road, right beside the filling station.

Jamie, of Jamie's Exotics, is actually the son of the shop's proprietor, Victor Hannon. Victor's wife (Jamie's Mother) tragically passed away last year. Victor and his family are organising the family-friendly event in memory of Zara.

The event is to raise money for two charities that are close to the hearts of the Hannons.

Victor said he wanted to create the Hallowe’en event in memory of Zara as “It really was her season”. Jamie's Exotics is a pet shop that sells weird and wonderful exotic animals, so it felt appropriate to have Bat Rehabilitation Ireland on board as a charity partner. Bat Rehabilitation Ireland was also a charity close to Zara's heart, according to Victor.

Owner Victor Hannon explained to Live95 that since the loss of their mother, Jamie and his little sister, Freya, have benefited hugely from the Children’s Grief Centre. The Children’s Grief Centre is a charity for grieving children.  Victor said of the charity, "It's not a charity you are aware of, until you need it."

The event takes place in Banogue on the weekend of the 18th and 19th October. Tickets are available on https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/jamies-exotics-halloween-charity-show-tickets-1425403683789
