Up to 30 stores and 1,000 roles planned by 2035.

German Doner Kebab (GDK), the globally acclaimed quick service restaurant brand known for its innovative menu and redefinition of the kebab experience, has announced it will open its first-ever restaurant in Ireland this November.

The debut Irish location will open at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin at the end of November 2025, marking a significant milestone in GDK’s 36-year history and its official entry into the Irish market.

The move represents the beginning of a nationwide expansion, with up to 30 stores planned across Ireland over the next decade.

The initial launch in Dublin will create 30 new jobs, with as many as 150 roles expected to be added through a further five stores in the following year.

German Doner Kebab’s mission is to “redefine the kebab experience” and build a Gen Z-focused brand rooted in music, sport, and popular culture.

The company’s menu features fresh-to-order dishes made with premium lean meats, unique toasted waffle bread, and handmade signature sauces — a combination designed to appeal to a health- and convenience-conscious audience.

GDK has rapidly grown its international footprint under its “Kebabs. Done Right.” mission.

As of July 2025, the brand operates more than 170 restaurants across the UK, Sweden, North America, and the Middle East, supported by primary investors True and Hero Brands.
