Are you new to astronomy or just unwrapped your first telescope? Join us on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at 8 PM for a Beginner Telescope Talk by Tom O'Brien.

We are hosting a special Beginner Telescope Talk led by experienced astronomer Tom O'Brien. This session is designed specifically for newcomers and will take the confusion out of your first astronomical adventures. Tom will cover the absolute basics, including:

Quick and easy telescope assembly and setup

Essential tips for aligning your finder scope

Simple techniques for aiming your telescope

Which easy-to-find objects (like the Moon or bright planets) to look at first

Don't let your new telescope collect dust! Learn the skills you need to successfully explore the night sky. This is the perfect opportunity to ask all your beginner questions. Everyone is welcome to attend.
